The essay contest in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia was open to young Catholic women in the Diocese of Salina, who are graduating from high school or attending college.

Each entrant addressed these questions in her essay:

The mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph is unity and reconciliation. They strive to unite all people with God and with one another. For 125 years, the Sisters have lived this mission through various works. How do I resonate with this mission? Where do I see a need for unity and reconciliation and how would I live out the mission?
