As a 60 year Jubilarian I was thrilled to see the international aspect of our Federation novices – to read the stories of their call and to recognize the Spirit alive and well in the Congregation. Blessings and prayer for Monique and Preenika and those who are accompanying them on their journey.

Am delighted to read about the journey of the two Federation novices, and a bit about each of them. The pictures were a decided plus. Now I can better picture them as they continue their novitiate journey in Chicago with Anne and Bernie.
I Also appreciated the comments written in Spanish, and the mention of the earthquake in Peru which, with the aftermath, our sisters there must contend with. Best wishes to all who have made this Newletter possible.

what a joy to travel the highways to Concordia…seeing all the green grass, the tall green trees (some w/ a Twisted Beauty) and those beautiful black cows bathing in the warn sunlight w/ the azure blue skies above…almost heaven on earth..

As a native Kansan who has lived out and about the USA and beyond the borders of the USA, each area has its gifts, challenges; beauty and eye sores.
Kansas is much more than the ” hot -hot, cold-cold, drab and nothing but wide open spaces” State perceived by persons who may be living here for a short time or passing through enroute to another place.
We are definitely a State of HEART-land…rich, rich history, land, stick-2-it-ness. Yes, some of our stories are stories strengthening integrity; but nonetheless…who we are!

Happy Kansas Day to all my Kansas friends and colleagues. I do love Kansas — Concordia in particular…such a delightful contrast to the northeast. My two summers in Kansas really taught me the meaning of the words to “America the Beautiful”: “Oh beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain…”
