We minister through a variety of works which respond to people's need for God and God's reconciling love. We encourage and assist those who desire to follow God more closely, and work to alleviate conditions which cause ignorance, poverty or suffering, Our ministry is our presence to others in loving, caring, praying, sharing, and working with and for them.

We invite others to join us in our mission in a variety of ways including our associate program, volunteer program, or making a financial contribution.

Many people, both Catholic and non-Catholic, frequently ask if the Catholic Church supports the sisters. That is one of the major myths that we need to dispel! The simple answer is 'no'. That is because religious communities are part of the laity within the church. The faithful of the Church bear a responsibility for supporting diocesan priests, bishops, cardinals and the pope, who all comprise the hierarchy of the Church. The Church is not responsible for supporting communities of women and men religious.

Many of our Sisters today still work in ministries that have little or no remuneration.
The sisters are self-supporting, in part through the help of our benefactors.

Are opportunities to honor a relative, friend or acquaintance for a special occasion, such as, birthday or anniversary. It is also an appropriate way to express sympathy at the time of a loved one's death. (see Memorial and Tribute Gifts cards) for more information

Remembering the Sisters of St. Joseph in your will or trust bequest is a way to help make sure the ministries continue. There are three ways for remembering a charity in a Will or Trust: a gift amount; a percentage of the estate; or the remainder of the estate after heirs and loved ones have been provided for and remembered
