General Operating Expenses
The expense of living and working in service to God and neighbor are
covered through gifts to general operating. These gifts pay for food
and utilities, maintenance, and other needs of the Sisters in their
work.

Youth Ministry
Sister Julie Christensen and others are reaching out to youth and
young people in confirmation retreats, volunteer work projects,
specialty weekend retreats, Discover Camp and a wide array of new
events and activities.

Neighbor to Neighbor
A welcoming day center in Concordia for women and women with young
children, Neighbor to Neighbor provides an array of individualized
services to help women face the challenges in their lives.

Community Garden
The community garden is a new ministry designed to help meet needs in
Concordia and Cloud County. It brings together experienced gardeners
and those who need a place to raise food.

Manna House of Prayer
Since 1978, Manna House has been a full-service retreat and workshop
location in Concordia. It also manages outreach, including the Helping
Hands Program, to benefit hungry in the region.

Justice and Peace
Pope Paul VI reminded us that if we want peace, we must work for
justice. These activities are coordinated through the Salina Justice
and Peace Office where work focuses on the vulnerable in our society.

Aging Sisters
There are Sisters of St. Joseph who have served God and neighbor for
more than three-quarters of a century. With your support of the
retirement fund, these Sisters continue their service through prayer
and presence.
