THE 2012 CIVILITY PLEDGE signature drive officially begins Feb. 23 — and if you want to join the effort for a more civil community, you can download signature forms here. The Concordia Year of Peace began officially with the city’s Fall Fest Sept. 26, 2009. Another Year of Peace 2011 began Jan. 1, 2011.

Beginning Sept. 25, 2009, the Concordia Blade-Empire newspaper has provided weekly space for a Year of Peace column, which were written by committee members and students from the local middle school, high school and community college. That weekly column continued through Dec. 31, 2010. In 2011, for Another Year of Peace, we are publishing columns twice a month, on the first and third Fridays. Our thanks to the newspaper for its support of these efforts.
