Now that the documentary “Interrupted Lives: Catholic Sisters Under European Communism” has been aired across the country, a web site that supplements the program with additional information is also available.

You can click HERE to go directly to the new site.

The site includes a study guide, plus background information and other details about the decades of research by Sister Mary Savoie and Margaret Nacke.

Thanks, Jeanette, for sharing the experience of Margaret and Mary in California. At one time, I was hoping to attend this gathering. Congratulations, Margaret and Mary, I am so proud of the work you are doing. Mary Fran

I am glad to follow the travels of M&M into Texas and CA. Pat and I have missed them and wish them safe travels back to Ks so we can share in this wonderful ministry they are doing. We hope to show the documentary to our local peace and justice organization. But first, we have to order it!

I was fortunate to be able to attend a special “showing” of INTERRUPTED LIVES at Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino, CA. Mary and Margaret welcomed us and introduced us to several people, including the other panelists. There must have been a hundred+ people in attendance. The retreat center had installed two large screens with a stage for the panel between the screens. It was very impressive. Margaret and Mary spoke of the making of the documentary in their usual experienced, intelligent and warm manner. I left the session knowing that I am being educated and changed by the documentary. The people who attended the first showing were moved by the documentary and the experiences of the Sisters. They did not want to stop asking questions and making comments. Again, thank you, Margaret and Mary.

The DVD arrived here at Regina Residence today. I am delighted and will show it to the community here next Monday. I can hardly wait to see it myself. The Sisters at Berlingame and San Diego are waiting for you, Margaret and Mary. They are advertising in the Orange publications.

This wonderful news. Two CSJ’s of Oranged watched INTERRUPTED LIVES at 2:00 a.m. and one copied it. They were touched. I am waiting for the DVD. Others here have ordered it for committee work, the library and for their justice and peace ministry. This documentary will be valued far and wide.
