PHOTO GALLERY: Getting ready for Jubilee Day 2009

The outdoor Mass was scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6, but preparations began much earlier in the day. Here’s a collection of photos of that process.

Well before the days festivities began, the maintenance crew had set up tents and chairs and the jubilee committee was getting ready for rehearsal. Sister Loretta Jasper served as director as Sister Polly Kukula, left, and Lucille Herman listened to their duties.

Heard alot of good things about the Jubilee Celebration from my sister Jodi, so I thought I would visit your website and see for myself. Looks like everyone had a good time and I even recognized a few faces. You could send some of that warm weather our way if you like!

I love seeing all these pictures. They give one a sense of the entire day. Being there, I think we were so busy that we got only bits and pieces. This is wonderful!

This is my second response, but I missed seeing these pictures when I wrote earlier. These, too, are stunning. I think the day was a dance of unity. Thanks to all who served on the Committee and those who made it happen. The yard was just perfect, and the food was fit for the royal Jubilee that it was! Than you to all!

Oh my, how can one begin to thank everyone for the marvelous days of 125th celebration and Jubilee. I’ll start with God who sent the weather we needed….then I can’t mention the many, many helpers among staff and community members lest I forget someone. THANKS! I could feel the unity both in the hustle and bustle needed as well as in the quiet moments. Both were wonderful.

Jubilee day was beautiful. When I would like about trying to honor all of the Jubilarians day in the front yard I couldn’t imagine how we would do it. Thanks to the committee and the many helpers who helped plan and put it all together. Except for a few sunburns it was flawless.
