Storm cloaks Motherhouse in white

December 8, 2009 by

The snowfall that began Monday night shows no sign of letting up, as of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. And while it has wreaked havoc on drivers and created shoveling chores for homeowners, it has also given the Motherhouse a seasonal cloak of white. For your enjoyment — assuming you don’t have to be out in this weather! — here are three views of the front of the Motherhouse, taken about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Living in central west Brazil I do miss the snow of Rochester, NY once in a while, so your pictures are appreciated in another part of the planet. The question of global climate changes is so serious and our nations seem unable to work together. In the beauty of so much white, let us pray and work for greater consciousness of our responsibility to respect and protect the wonders of God that are all around us in this community of life that is our planet. Merry Christmas! Feliz Natal!

I’m sharing in the snow in Concordia by enjoying our own 8-10 inches of snow~ Though in Grand Junction, Colorado, we don’t normally get this kind of snow. This snow made history for this much snow on one day. We had a ‘snow day’ even- reminder of my days in Nebraska. While I’m enjoying the snow, I know others are suffering from it and the extreme cold.

And thanks God for the gift of warmth, shelter and folks who are available to move the snow and us about as needed. We are blessed to the hilt with such givens in this beautifully snow-coverd setting.

Wow, thanks for the beautiful pictures. You all have a beautiful place at this time…all the time! Thanks for keeping us informed about so much.
Oh, I think I know some first graders who could have a really great time in this yard…hold on to the snow…we’ll be right there!!!!
Honestly, please be careful and enjoy the sights.

Snow, glorious snow. I know others dread it, but I love it. These are beautiful pictures. Who doesn’t want to flop down and make a snow angel while catching flakes on your tongue.
