Sisters offer employees a world of thanks

Thirteen employees of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia were honored this evening (Tuesday, Feb. 24) at the 2015 Employee Gratitude Banquet at the Nazareth Motherhouse.
The annual event drew of a crowd of nearly 130 employees, their guests and Sisters of St. Joseph. The theme of the evening was “We are the World,” with each dinner table representing an individual country and the auditorium decorated with a range of international flags.
The employees honored, listed with their jobs and length of service, are:
- Vicky Thoman, administrative assistant to the Leadership Council, 35 years
- Susan LeDuc, Manna House of Prayer administrative services area coordinator, 25 years
- Carlene Edwards, cook, 20 years
- Joy Bliss, housekeeping, 15 years
- Sharon Bates, nurse aide, 15 years
- Barbara Kortman, nurse aide, 10 years
- Kim Brownell, charge nurse, five years
- Tina Goff, nurse aide, five years
- Pam Huber, charge nurse, five years
- Georgetta Kearn, dietary aide, five years
- Cam Koerber, charge nurse, five years
- Sheri Krause, administration assistant/reception, five years
- Mary Walker, charge nurse, five years
Bates, Huber and Bliss were not able to attend. (No photo was available for Huber.)
The Sisters of St. Joseph have about 70 employees in Concordia, working at the Nazareth Motherhouse, Manna House of Prayer and the CSJ Administrative Center at 215 Court St.
