25 Years: Sister Beverly Carlin –

Amazed, grateful, and blessed. 
I am astonished that this is my 25th Jubilee! The years have gone quickly and have been filled abundantly with God’s grace. I am amazed at how God has worked in my life through family, friends whom I have met along the journey, and Sisters in the community.
As I reflect upon these years, I am aware of how God has led me to various places and experiences I would not have dreamed of for myself. For example, attending school in Chicago. Not only did this small-town Kansas girl learn about the city, but more importantly, the experience opened up my awareness of others throughout the world. My worldview and heart began to expand, becoming aware of the plight of many, aware of many things I take for granted, such as clean running water, a safe home, education, and freedom to praise and worship God.
Along with being astonished, I am filled with gratitude for the many times God has allowed me to be part of God’s grand design and mission of caring and loving his people. It is an honor and such a privilege to be with individuals and families sharing their joys, sorrows, and struggles…simply sharing life and connecting in God’s goodness. Dancing, praying, and laughing with our Discover Camp girls and counselors; traveling with K-State students on Spring Break alternatives; greeting and serving retreat guests at Manna House of Prayer; being able to witness our youth growing and coming to own their Catholic faith and simply enjoying the joys of Junior High CYO camp, NCYC, and our own Salina diocesan CYO conference to name a few! 
 God has also gifted me with the honor of serving his people in the parishes of St. Matthew in Topeka, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Hays, and currently in St. John the Baptist, Clyde, and St. Mary the Assumption, Clifton. 
 I smile and pause with wonder and awe at the numerous grace-filled memories. I treasure the people. They fill my heart and connect me with God.
I am indeed abundantly BLESSED!
