Here’s an idea: Give the gift of a gift

For all of us, there’s that one person on our gift list… Maybe it’s the man who has everything, or the woman who never seems satisfied with anything. Maybe it’s the teenager whose tastes never match yours, or the grandparent who really doesn’t need another pair of slippers…

Maybe a better alternative this year would be the gift of a gift.

When you make a donation of any size the the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, we will send you an email within 24 hours asking you to whom we should send the “thank you.” And if it’s that man or woman or teenager or grandparent, you may be surprised by their gratitude in knowing that their gift helps us continue to give our gifts to those in need.

Judith, what a beautiful tribute you have written on behalf of James Gregoire! I personally am not a teacher nor have I been in Lake Linden; but as a member of the Community of Sisters of St. Joseph, I read your comment with gratitude for the witness of love and good teaching that our Sisters have done in Lake Linden. If you visit him, let him know of our prayers for him as he prepares for his journey home!

I have heard so much about your order from Mr. James Gregoire of Lake Linden, Michigan. He was taught in school by your order and he was very close and kept in contact and sent along donations. Last yr, Oct 7 he had a total hip replacement and initially did fair. I rec’d a call yesterday from his niece that he has taken a turn for the worse and lays in the county nursing home dying. I have been his close friend for a long time. We worked together in the hospital. He is a confirmation sponsor to one of our children. Please pray for his family. He has a brother, Leonard who is living and two nieces and extended family.
Thank you for all that you have meant to him. He always spoke so dedicatedly about your order.
    Judy
