It is wonderful to see Sr. Dennis McFadden looking so well. As Sr. Dennis Mary, she was my fifth grade teacher in 1956-57 at St. Jarlath’s School in Oakland, CA. I believe it was her first year of teaching, and what a time to begin. We were the first year of the Baby Boom, and there were 50 students in our class, the classroom was bursting at the seams. But Sister handled everything in stride, albeit with a touch of Irish temper and humor. I will always remember her with great affection.

This is great. I don’t know how I missed this post when it first came out. Not only have I found many familiar faces here but this gives me a chance to recall my own summers at “Bearers” in 2003 and 2005. It’s wonderful to see the institute continuing and to notice names and faces of those whom I’ve met in France at Gathering the Daughters and elsewhere in the “Joseph Family!”

Sarah, I can’t wait to meet you in San Francisco…joanne

    Mahalo Sarah,

You really captured the workings of the BOT, thanks so much for all that you do and did during our days there…what a treasured memory! God bless, Marian

Thanks, Sarah, for again capturing a major event for the CSJ/SSJ communities. The grace filled moments the sisters there experienced filtered out to the winder communities as we united in prayer for them all. What a blessing!

I can’t wait to celebrate another International festival … am still praising God for the blessings and gift of Bearers … even for the call and challenge

    Thank you, Sarah
