Concordia Sisters of St. Joseph

Loving God and neighbor without distinction: A pontifical institute of women religious of the Roman Catholic Church

Are you ready for Discover Camp 2023?

This extraordinary adventure for girls entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades had been held every year at the Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia. The camp had to be canceled for the years of 2020-2022 due to Covid precautions, but this year it will return on June 15-17, with Sisters Anna Marie Broxterman and Bev Carlin as camp coordinators. Camp directors are Marissa Roberts and Trinity Price.

Campers will join together to deepen their relationship with God, learn more about themselves, get acquainted with others, play, pray and do ministry. The girls will stay inside the historic Motherhouse, with sleeping quarters on the Fifth Floor and activities in the Auditorium and grounds.

This year’s event begins Thursday afternoon and culminates Saturday evening with a closing Mass, followed by an ice cream social for family and friends.

The camp is limited to just 30 campers, so early registration is recommended. Cost is $85, which includes room, all meals and a T-shirt. Partial scholarships of $25 may be available upon request. Registration deadline is May 26.

For additional information contact Sister Anna Marie Broxterman at annacsj@csjkansas.org, 785-243-2113 ext. 1211 or 785-554-3829.
