70 Years

Having lived over 70 years in religious life, the thing that stands out for me is the understanding of our charism – coming to see the charism as unifying love.
This idea of unifying love is so much more than love without distinction of the dear neighbor. It stretches far beyond this kind of love to God’s love for all things.
This kind of love demands a greater openness to a diversity of ministries. It calls us to use our gifts in numerous ways to move us into the future.
This gives new meaning and a new life for me as a Religious woman.
I learned love and concern for others from my mother at a very young age. My mother always had time to help other people. She influenced me by her deep faith life. I knew from my earliest days at Marymount College that I wanted to consider a religious vocation.
I have been blessed to meet and minister with and to many diverse people. I am grateful to belong to a community of women who have a common goal; that is, to bring about unity among themselves, with other people and all with God. The sisters in my congregation are beautiful and I am grateful for them. God has blessed me abundantly.
