This is Sister Vera Meis; I’ll send you a little more information. And I’ve passed on your note to Betsy.

Trying to find information on Sister Vera (Rose Victor). She taught school in Gladstone Michigan in the 60’s.I corresponded with her maybe in the 80’s and she was with the Sisters of St.Joseph Health Care/Retirement or Apostolic Works of the Sisters. Was hoping you could help. Also,is Betsy Gasperich whose name is mentioned from Gladstone and maybe used to babysit me.I was surprised when I went to this site looking for Sister Vera and saw Betsy’s name.Could you please e-mail me even if you have no info for me .Thank you for your time-Cindy Rivers

Thank you to all of the kind and industrious people who helped to bring this entire event together. This occasion was not only an opportunity for my father to reconnect , it was also an opportunity for our family to have a connection with the people, influences, and the place that molded my father into the wonderful man that I have always looked up to.

Ahh, the grotto, I made my first communion here. I visited this site on the funeral of Abner Bombardier, my uncle. Took my 3 daughters with me and told them all about the orphanage.

I was a day spent on holy ground and shared with persons whose stories
are a testimony of heart-filled living and being.
What a gift to have been a part of this day.

A great day all around! Loved the people at my assigned table, So many connections. And all this happened on the feast of the guardian angels–who come in many forms!
