St. Patrick’s Day will add to annual Spaghetti Dinner fun
March 1, 2013 by Sarah Jenkins
When the date of the annual Motherhouse Spaghetti Dinner falls on St. Patrick’s Day, you can count on the Sisters of St. Joseph to add a little Irish to the mix.
Tickets at the door will be $10 for adults and $6 for children 5 to 12.
In 2012, nearly 450 people attended the event.
At this year’s dinner, ticket holders in the drawing choose which prize to try for: $700 cash, a $200 Amazon gift certificate, a full-size quilt handmade by Sister Betty Suther, a three-piece bistro set and a 1,000-watt portable generator.
There will also be a silent auction during the dinner with five special items available for bidding.
Back this year are a bake sale of items homemade by Sisters of St. Joseph and the popular “grab bag” of mystery gifts.
The dinner menu features spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and dessert. Plus, there will be live musical entertainment throughout the event.
Free guided tours of the Motherhouse, built in 1902 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, will also be available during the event.
